“I would highly recommend doing your physical therapy with Cheryl Claypoole. I have gone to other therapists in the past and I did not receive the focused attention that Cheryl gave me. I felt like she was invested in reducing my pain and educting me in how to move correctly so I could hopefully avoid future pain. Not only that… she is kind and positive and a pure joy to be around. You would do yourself a favor by going to Cheryl.”

I can’t thank Cheryl enough for the care I received during my Physical Therapy after my partial knee replacement. I am hiking again, dancing again (no pain!), snorkeling again (with fins! no pain!), basically doing all the things that I came to Kauai to do. Working in the pool was so very helpful, and Cheryl’s specific instruction on exercises to do at home helped me regain the range of motion and strength I needed to restore my knee to full function. Thank you for all the encouragement and aloha!

It never ceases to amaze me how lucky I am to have Cheryl Claypoole as my PT. It didn’t matter if I had a sore back, tennis elbow, or a sprained ankle, she knew what to do to relieve the pain. She always has a smile and is a joy to be around. Thank you, Cheryl!

Cheryl was a phenomenal PT! I started seeing Cheryl ten years ago for shoulder issues. I know I would not have the range of motion that I do without her help & guidance. I always appreciated how she would really listen to how I was doing and what problems I was having. She was always encouraging, yet pushed me to become stronger. I appreciated her depth of knowledge and willingness to share. I was a client at her office in Wailua, and having the pool for therapy was a huge bonus. If ever I need PT again, I will be coming back to Cheryl.

I have had the pleasure of Cheryl’s knowledge and experience after my shoulder surgery and after heart surgery. She helps to heal the body and encourages you to do all the exercises at home, which in turn helps her patients with the psyche-component of the whole injury. I can’t say enough good things about Cheryl.

I worked with Cheryl after my partial knee replacement in December of 2016 until June 2017. I knew from the beginning that it would be a great experience, because the day before my surgery she called to check in and see how I was feeling about the surgery. She was reassuring and confident that all would go well. After the surgery I saw her within a week and I was really struggling. My first visit was emotional, but Cheryl’s calm spirit and expertise allowed my fear to calm and I was able to begin the healing process. The ability to work with Cheryl was invaluable, but she also put an emphasis on doing her directed exercises at home. When I wasn’t progressing as quickly as I should have been she gave me some tough love and spurred me on to pushing myself even more.
Cheryl was always available to answer questions or concerns I had along the way and her schedule was so flexible, so I could work around a busy schedule. As my physical therapy continued I could see major improvement in my knee and that Cheryl’s knowledge and experience were going to help me reach our end goal. One of the last “tests” for my knee was to hike Sleeping Giant. On Mother’s Day of 2017 I completed the hike to the top after not having tried it for eight years! My family and I were thrilled. Cheryl’s passion for her work is evident in the love and aloha she shows to each of her patients and how she treats them and works to bring them to a place of healing and strength.
